77 Degrees In December?

I’m not sure what is going on with the weather here lately, but 77 F in December is unheard of, even in Mississippi! But hey, I’m not complaining one bit, I hate cold weather!

Weather this great was too good to pass up so we planned a weekend full of activities.

It wouldn’t be a weekend without some traditional mud riding. And once again, Adam managed to sink another four wheeler hah.

After the mud riding extravaganza, we went back to the place where Adam is staying and had a bonfire / cookout. The family he is staying with are by far the nicest people I have ever met. You know, the kind of ppl that would do anything for you without thinking twice.

We had some delicious food (deviled eggs, hickory smoked chicken, fried okra, potato salad, etc.) and spent the rest of the night by the fire, having a good time with friends.

Hey, you can’t have a fire without smores!

On Sunday, we started the day with breakfast as iHop… well, that was the plan. Apparently everyone hit iHop at 11:00 a.m. The parking lot was full and the line was way too long, so we opted for Steak n Shake (er, Steak n Water).

As you can see, Astrid can’t read very well!

After breakfast, we went and picked up another friend, Amy and she joined us at the “mall” (which is actually just a shopping center… can’t figure out why people call it a mall).

Anyone that knows me is well aware that I’m a huge Mariah Carey fan (she is my future wife, she just doesn’t know it yet) so when we went by Dillard’s, we had to stop in so I could smell her new perfume.

They gave me a little sample scent card in the shape of a butterfly. I think I was the only one that liked it. The smell is totally different than any other perfume I have smelled. It’s very “fruity” and not sharp or strong like most perfumes. I think it’s great! :)

After shopping, we hit up a new Southwestern restaurant across the street from the shopping center. For five bucks, you could get anything on the menu and a drink - you can’t beat that!

Amy ended up spending the entire day with us (she was originally scheduled to work but they called and said she wasn’t needed) which was cool because I haven’t hung out with her in over a year.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this post and you can check out all 42 pics from the weekend over at my Flickr page!

77 degrees! It’s 10F below average down here, all the snow froze over and it’s ice everywhere O_O

  2. slugbug Said,

We have 2 feet of snow on the ground and I just got around to putting on my snow tires today.

  3. Kattikawn Said,

I dropped the top on the ride home from work tonight. The weather feels soooo good right now. Don’t get used to it, though, cause by Thursday we’ll be right back where we were.

What’s this new Southwestern restaurant you speak of?

  4. Dith Pran Said,

77 degrees is unheard of at this time!

I would go swimming on those temps.
