A Snowy Disappointment

null

The local news had been “talking up” this big winter weather event for the past few days. But, as my luck usually goes, there was very little snow that actually fell here in Oxford.

An hour south in Olive Branch where most of my friends live, they received nearly 6″ of the white stuff. I would have been happy with half that amount, but, no such luck. It rained here most of the day, only turning into snow later in the evening and into the night.

Even still, snow in March… in Mississippi… when it was 64 F the previous day? Very strange. Last year, the latest snow we received was in February. At the going rate, we will have snow in August in just six years! hah

I’ll trade you the weather we’re having right now. Winds gusting to 100km/h with snow and ice pellets. They announced 20cm but the high winds are really whipping it up.

There should not be 6 inches of snow on the ground on my birthday. :-/

Just picture perfect. Snow covered cars look great in the picture. I can’t handle winters at all, but I love to see snowfall and how slowly slowly the whole nature gets covered with a white sheet of those flakes.
