AGLOCO Fliers

I finally got around to getting some of my AGLOCO fliers posted around campus today. I have been meaning to do this for about a week or so, but today was the day.

A few weeks ago I registered a domain name and created a simple landing page with my referral link on it. As some of you know, I live on a college campus. Enrollment here is around 13,000 students. I thought this would be a great environment to promote AGLOCO, so hence the landing page and fliers.

I totally underestimated how many fliers I had printed out. I thought I had around 20 but found out that I only took 11 with me, what a wasted trip! I only got fliers up in six buildings today. But even so, 11 fliers x 12 tear-tabs = 132 potential direct referrals. I have already started printing out more fliers and hope to get those up in the next day or so.

So thus far, my advertising campaign for AGLOCO consists of $14.95 for the domain name for a year and buying a friend lunch for helping me put up the fliers. Since I just got the fliers up earlier today, I have not had any new sign-ups yet. But this is where I stand going into the campaign.

I have 51 total referrals at an advertising cost of $0.00 - not too bad. Hopefully my small investment in the landing page will net me some more quality referrals.

BTW, I intentionally blurred the links to the landing page in the first picture. I have Google Analytics running on the landing page, and have no incoming internet links, so I will be able to accurately gauge the traffic I receive from the fliers.

Hey that’s a pretty smart idea!

  2. Scot Said,

    This is an awesome idea!

I could adopt this for use with other schemes :)

You might get more attention / more website visitors if you keep the fliers a bit simpler using larger font and hitting on the key points.

They can read the details on your webpage! The fliers job should only be to get them there, not to read all the details. ;)

    Thanks,
