I turned on the TV today as I usually do when I first wake up and was pleasantly surprised to find that one of my favorite shows from my childhood, American Gladiators, was on. It has been years since I last saw this show and even better, ESPN Classic is running a marathon of the show which still lasts for a few more hours.
For those of you who are not familiar with the show, American Gladiators was a show that ran from the late 80s into the mid 90s and pitted contestants against the “American Gladiators”, a team of very fit men and women. The contestants went head to head with the gladiators in all sorts of physical games such as Assault, the Joust, Powerball and the final event of each show, The Eliminator.
Looks like I will be busy today working on another review with a classic TV show to distract me
