Blockbuster Total Access Damaged Discs

null

I have been using Blockbuster’s Total Access program for a few months now. I had always wondered how the DVDs arrived without being damaged, as they are shipped in a simple paper envelope. Well today, I found that one movie I ordered was cracked!

This brings up an interesting question of just how many movies are damaged during shipment on a daily basis. I am sure Blockbuster wouldn’t release this data but I, for one, would be really curious to know the answer. Perhaps a stiffer cardboard shipping container would work better?

Either way, I’m just glad that I won’t be responsible for the damaged movie. Has this ever happened to any of you that use Total Access or Netflix?

    Hey,

I use to have this problem with Total Access - about one movie out of every 45-50 would be either to damaged or to scratched to play. Good service though, they just simply send a replacement within 24 hours.

  2. Leo Said,

That would suck, waiting days to get a rental only to find it broken. Good thing I’ve got a couple Blockbusters within a few minutes drive.

I used the Canadian version of netflix(zip.ca)and while I never received a cracked disc, I did receive plenty of scratched/dirty ones.

  4. Derek Said,

I just recently signed up with NetFlix and was surprised at the little envelope used to ship the DVD. Thus far we have only received a few movies and they have all arrived in good condition but I imagine this is somewhat common.
