I just installed the Buy Me A Beer Wordpress Plugin from Ankesh Kothari. I first saw this plugin in action at John’s Blog and thought it would be something fun to try.
As you know this blog does not have any advertising on it - a rarity these days. The beer plugin is simply a fun way to allow readers to donate to this blog if they see fit. The plugin allows you to add an icon to the sidebar and/or at the bottom of each post, both of which I have activated.
The plugin is easy to install. All you need to do is download it, unzip and upload the files to the plugin folder on your server. Then, activate the plugin and set everything up in the options menu. Finally, add the code to your sidebar and/or index php files and you are set!
So far I do not have any donations, but that is expected as I just installed the plugin. Cheers and happy blogging!
