I have been updating my music page with my top 10 songs for that week ever since I started this blog. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of this sooner, but from now on, I will also be posting the weekly top 10 songs here on the front page too.
If you haven’t already viewed the music page, here is a bit of warning: I listen to a wide variety of music on a daily basis. It’s not uncommon to see rap, rock and country all in the same list!
So anyway, here we go with this weeks top 10. BTW, feel free to comment if you want
Cadillac Don - Peanut Butter & Jelly
Bryan Adams - Summer of 69
Evans Blue - Possession
Ghost Machine - Rock in Roll
Mims - This is Why Im Hot
Cindy Lauper - Time After Time
Sevendust - Confessions of Hatred
Three 6 Mafia - Doe Boy Fresh
John Mellencamp - Jack & Dianne
Jessica Simpson - Take My Breath Away

The Beale Street Music Fest is held annually at Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis. The three day long event attracts some of the best in the music industry every year. Below is the lineup for this years Music Fest.

Having lived in or around Memphis pretty much my whole life, I have yet to attend Music Fest but hopefully that will change this year. So who on the list peaks my interest this year? Three 6 Mafia, Chevelle, Godsmack, Counting Crows, Hinder, Barenaked Ladies, Chris Daughtry, Edwin McCain, Project Pat, Papa Roach and Egypt Central.
As many of you know, Music Fest has traditionally been cursed with rainy weather, so where’s to hoping it will be a bright and sunny event this year!

Aunt Flossie is (er, was) a rock band that made their name known with the hit single “For You For Me” from their debut album, Fill the Void. Fill the Void was released on March 6, 2001 on Crown Records (yeah, I have never heard of them either). This song made its rounds on the local rock stations for a while, but after that, I never heard so much as a peep from Aunt Flossie. I was only able to find two other songs from them in recent years. That is, until today…

I ordered a used copy of their CD late last week on Amazon.com and it arrived today. I have only had time to listen to a few “new” tracks but thus far, I am still amazed as to why this band never made it “big”. A Google search reveals very little about what happened to the band since their hit single hit the air waves many years ago…
