A few months ago I learned about a Citibank offer that offered new customers $100 just for opening a savings account. I was a bit skeptical about this, as I’ve always been told that you never get anything for free, but I figured what the hell and opened an account anyway with a $20 deposit.
The stipulations claimed that you would receive your money “within 90 days” so I kinda forgot about the account until earlier today.
I logged into my account and found that my promotional offer had in fact went through, and I was $100 and some change richer - score! The transfer actually took place over a month ago. Since I opened the account in mid May, this means it only took me around 60 days to get the promotional offer.
I am now transferring the money to my main bank account and will be closing the Citibank account. Thanks for the free money Citibank!
