Once we wrapped up things at the the autograph session, it was time for some hockey action! The game itself wasn’t the best, as the Riverkings lost 2-0, but there was some good action including everyone favorite: fights!
Yeah, these guys were ready and so was the crowd!
Each guy got in a few good shots but the fight was eventually stopped with both players still on their feet. A fight earlier in the night didn’t end so ‘fortunately’ heh…
This fight broke out early on and I hadn’t had enough time to fine-tune my camera settings so the colors are a little off but… our guy (in black) dominated in this fight…
Notice the other player’s feet are off the ice; this was right as he got dropped! Score one for the Kings!
Oh, and a hockey game wouldn’t be complete without getting a picture with the mascot!
Uhmm, no… way too boring. I had a better idea. Those of you familiar with rap music / videos know all about the “motorcycle” dance. The idea popped in my head out of nowhere as the Riverthing was approaching, so I told Sarah and Kiwi to get him to pose doing the motorcycle. Nah these folks were too shy to ask him (BOO!) so after the first picture, I was like “hey Thing, do the motorcycle dance” then proceeded to show him how it was done. Not even necessary, as he is well versed in his rap videos and got right in on the action!
Yeahhh! It’s sad when a duck mascot is more “crunk” than you are haha. I didn’t let them forget that the entire night 
After the game we all went out to Buffalo Wild Wings to grab dinner. This place specializes in, well, buffalo wings. Its a semi-bar type atmosphere but was still appropriate for Kattikawn’s sister to join us. Adam and Sarah ordered drinks; Blue Moon and Bud Light respectfully. I had tried Blue Moon from a bottle before and it was absolutely disgusting, but Adam suggested I try it on tap as he said it was much better. I did, and it was, so I ordered one as well. Of course, out of the entire group, I’m the only one to get carded. Funny because I was also the oldest of the group.
Using one of my “words” - Sarah was damn near on the Spaceship and after only one drink! Granted, they were 23 oz. glasses and she drank it pretty quick… slow down my friend!
Jessica ordered the kids chicken strip meal that came with these cool smiley-face fries. Adam ordered a lot of shrimp. Sarah got a chicken sandwich while Katti, Kiwi and I got chicken wings. Stupid me ordered 18 wings, apparently forgetting I had just ate before the game. I ate maybe 7-8 wings and got a box to take the rest home. Yeah, great plan… until I realized half way home that I forgot to take the box with me. Way to waste money!
All in all, a good outing and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!
