Homemade Cheese Pizza

null

Sarah picked up the ingredients to make homemade pizza yesterday and we decided to give it a try today. The pizza dough was from Pillsbury and came in a can like biscuits, kinda strange. Anyway, we had to heat up the dough for about five minutes then add toppings.

We only used cheese as the topping; cheddar, provolone and mozzarella. The end result was pretty tasty, except for my stupid oven that likes to burn the heck out of everything. You can cook something at half the required temperature and half as long… and it will still burn!

  3. Shawn Knight Said,

I have no clue… i’ll only be here for less than a month so im not worried about it heh

  4. Bobs Said,

Try Boboli crusts…I make all the pizzas at our house and the Boboli crusts make it so easy to do. Tastes great too!

  5. Garry Conn Said,

Looks pretty good… but come on now man! Doctor that thing up a little bit.

You should see what I can do with a Tony’s Pizza.

They are usually 4 for $10 at Wal-Mart and I get the meat trio. When I cook one I add more cheese, shredded ham, add oregano, add more sauce, add a few sliced tomatoes, sprinkle garlic power around the crust, add grilled and sugar sweetened unions and last but not least, I fry up a little hamburger and add that too.

The final result is amazing! I can take a $2 dollar pizza and make it into something someone would be willing to pay $20 for…

Sorry man… the other day you did the taco hot dog and I was sold on that, unfortunately, I am the pizza king and can make a good pizza out of just about anything.

In life, I am not good at much… but I can die tomorrow knowing that I can make a DAMN GOOD PIZZA!

    :)

  6. Shawn Knight Said,

    LOL sounds yummy, BUT…

Adding all those ingredients surely adds to the overall price of the pizza, so you are no longer at just $2 :) For that price, you could get a Digiorno! lol

BTW, any pics of that creation??

  7. Garry Conn Said,

Also… if you are having issues with your oven temp being off, just by one of the t-stats that you stick in on the rack… and slow cook that SOB at 325 for about 35 to 40 minutes. Maybe even 300… low temp and long cook on a deeper like that… Foundationally that pizza totally rocks! Just add some more “BANG” to it baby!!!!

    :)

  8. Garry Conn Said,

That brand of pizza is over rated… I really like the Tony’s brand… it doesn’t give me heartburn too bad and the dough/crust is pretty good.

I used to live in Chicago… been living in Tennessee for over 4 years and been on major pizza withdrawals since I got here!

Pizza is by far one of my most favorite foods… aside from a bloody as hell medium rare steak.

  9. Shawn Knight Said,

Ah, I love Digiorno… my absolute favorite “store bought” pizza!

Tennessee… didn’t we already have that conversation? I think so but my memory is terrible lol

  10. Garry Conn Said,

BTW, any pics of that creation??

I don’t, but next time I make it, I will do a whole series of pics from start to finish! Promise!

Tennessee… didn’t we already have that conversation? I think so but my memory is terrible lol

I don’t know… I think so, you said you were from TN also? Memphis?

  11. Shawn Knight Said,

Yep, originally from Memphis, in MS now

  12. KellyCho Said,

    That’s a LOT of cheese!

  13. Garry Conn Said,

    Kelly,

It really is… That thing is LOADED with Cheese!

Shawn, how much did that brick weigh?

  14. Shawn Knight Said,

ya know, it looks like a lot of cheese… and i guess it was… BUT, it didnt even cover all the sauce… notice all the gaps hah

  15. Holly Said,

    Wow……. lots of cheese.
