As the release date of the Viewbar narrows, I continue to think of new and exciting ways to promote AGLOCO which I wanted to share with you here today. First I will cover some free ways that you can start promoting AGLOCO right now, then I will cover some methods that involve spending a little money on your end. So, here we go…
1. As I have mentioned in previous posts, the easiest way to promote AGLOCO is to simply tell your friends and family about it. You can do this in person, on the phone, via e-mail or just by chatting online. I use AOL Instant Messenger as my primary messaging program and have already got several new referrals just by telling friends about the program.
2. Make use of online social communities like MySpace, Friendster, FaceBook, LiveJournal, etc. I have a MySpace account with about 110 friends. This is a great way to advertise AGLOCO. You can make bulletin posts describing the program to all of your friends. Another good idea is to create a banner signature and include it at the bottom of the comments you leave on your friend’s page. That way, everyone who visits their page will also be exposed to your AGLOCO banner sig.
3. If you participate in website message boards, you can also post your banner sig in your signature here (granted it is permitted by the forum admins) or even create an AGLOCOavatar. Invite users to PM you requesting more information about AGLOCO and how to join.
4. If you run your own blog page, this is a great outlet to let your readers know all about AGLOCO.
Now I will cover a few quick ideas that involve spending some money to promote AGLOCO. The key to all of these ideas is to first register a catchy domain name, set up a simple landing page that describes the program and link to the AGLOCO sign up page with your referral link.
1. Take out a classified in your local newspaper. Rates for this vary based on how long you want to run the ad as well as the circulation of the newspaper. Place a simple ad and link to your landing page.
2. Order up some business cards that link to your landing page and pass these out as often as you can. Leave some at local businesses, post some on bulletin boards around town, etc.
3. Speaking of bulletin boards, print up some flyers with tear-tabs that have your landing page URL on them and post these on bulletin boards around town.
These are just a few of the countless number of methods you can use to promote AGLOCO on your own. I will probably make another post in a week or so with a new set of promotion ideas that you can use to help build your referral network!
