How To Save Money On A Hotel Reservation

null

I was chatting with Bob last night and he mentioned that he canceled his reservation at the Flamingo and moved to Treasure Island. Last I checked, TI was full…

So, I checked out their online room checker and sure enough, they had rooms still available. Bob also mentioned his rate, which was much cheaper than mine (same type of room). I did some more investigating and discovered something interesting.

We were originally scheduled to check in on the 4th and check out on the 11th at a nightly rate of $283.40 for four people. The rates are so high because of CES. But, here’s the catch… if you check in before the weekend, you can lock in a much lower per night rate… $206.01 for four people. That’s a savings of $77.39 per night!

So now, we will be checking in on the 2nd and checking out on the 11th… and the total bill, even with two extra nights, is over $250 cheaper than before!

So yeah, it certainly pays to go back and check all of your options when booking a hotel room. You never know what sort of hidden discount you can find.
