Luxor Tower Luxury Suite

I called today to book my hotel room for the 2009 CES. Yes, I know the show is still several months away, but if you want to guarantee you have a good room and cheap rates, you must book early!

I had originally planned to get two regular rooms this year but after checking prices, I decided it was not really cost efficient. I did a lot of research and decided on the Tower Luxury Suite at the Luxor.

The suite is 780 square feet and can accommodate up to four guests (although it only has one king size bed), so I will put Keith and Airica in the bed. They have roll-away beds that can be sent up free of charge for Rutledge and I.

I found this video tour of a Tower Luxury Suite on YouTube. Looks pretty nice… certainly nicer than anywhere I have ever stayed. Oh, and did I mention I got a $600 discount? BOOSH!!

  1. Kattikawn Said,

That room is only like 220 sq ft smaller than my apartment.

  2. Stephen Said,

If Bill Shatner saw this post, he’d have the Priceline posse on your ass! ;)

I usually book early too, but not that early. I’ve found in the past that the best prices are normally found closer to the show. I’ll just rebook at the lower prices, and then cancel my original reservations. That’s saved me a lot of money over the years.

  3. Tyler Ingram Said,

I want to go to CES! One day I’ll make plans to show up. Luxor is nice though, how much is the room per night?

  4. Natron Said,

That’s bigger than my first apartment!

Is it full of leather bound book and have the rich smell of mahogany?

  5. Bob Buskirk Said,

The luxor is really far down the strip though, gotta be close to the monorail :)

  6. Shawn Knight Said,

Yeah, it’s a building or two down from the MGM’s monorail station I believe… nothing too bad…

  7. Derek Said,

Just got back from Vegas a couple of weeks ago and stayed at Mandalay Bay for a conference. Overall I was not very impressed with Mandalay Bay but it was nice being in the same hotel as the conference. We ate at the Luxor buffet one day and it has really gone downhill, quite unimpressive. Of the hotels that I have stayed at in Vegas, so far my favorite is Ceasars.

Now, do any of you guys need a special correspondent for CES? :)
