Memphis RiverKings, Candace Cameron

Tomorrow is the final regular season home game for the Memphis RiverKings. The RiverKings are a hockey team that play in the Central Hockey League, which consists of 16 total teams. I used to attend the RiverKings games on a somewhat-regular basis before I moved off to college. If things go as planned, tomorrow will be the second game for me this season.

If you have never been to a hockey game, I would encourage you to attend a game if there are any in your area. Before you say hockey is boring, just give it a try. Trust me, it is 100x more fun than watching it at home on television, which I can’t stand to do. But being there in person is a whole different experience!

Also I couldn’t help but noticing on the RiverKings website that Candace Cameron will be in attendance at the game. Those who grew up in my generation remember Candace from her role as DJ Tanner in the hit sitcom Full House. I’m not ashamed to admit that I loved this show growing up and still watch the re-runs if I am bored (saw one earlier today actually).

After her run on Full House, Candace starred in the leading role in a few movies and made guest appearances in several popular sitcoms such as Cybil and Boy Meets World.

She is now married with three kids and tours the country speaking about her religious faith. She will be speaking at the DeSoto Civic Center before the game and will be signing autographs during the first intermission. I’ll try to swing by and snap a few pictures to post here heh.

  1. Kattikawn Said,

The religious stuff interests me not at all, but I might just have to go so that I can get her autograph for my little sister. Jessica loves Full House like no other tv show.

I can tolerate it when she’s over, but I don’t actually watch it when I’m home alone. The best part about it these days is trying to equate Bob Saget’s role in the show back then with his stand-up comedy now.
