Mini Movie Review: The Pursuit of Happyness

null

Will Smith plays the role of Chris Gardner, a medical equipment salesman struggling to make ends meet after the mother of his child 5-year-old kid bails out on him. Gardner gets lucky and lands an internship at a stockbroker firm, but still must work his day job to support himself and his son. This only get worse as the duo is kicked out of their apartment and forced to sleep wherever they can; shelters, public restrooms, etc.

Will Smith is a fantastic, versatile actor and he really shines in this film. The film is based on a true story and is very motivating, proving that you can do just about anything if you have the “Will” and determination. My only gripe about the film is that it ended too early! But I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet.

I give The Pursuit of Happyness an 8 out of 10 stars.

I thought that movie was absolutely amazing and inspiring - it really shows the tougher sides of life for people sometimes.

Not to mention that the little boy is actually Will’s son :)

I thought that movie was a little overrated. Everyone said it was so sad and that you would cry.
I’m the biggest sap in the world (About hyperventilated when I saw The Notebook) and I didn’t shed a single tear.
I didn’t think the movie was bad, but I didn’t think it was as good as everyone said it was.
