The 2008 Beale Street Music Festival starts this Friday and goes all the way through the weekend. Although the lineup isn’t as good as it was last year, I am super excited to see Disturbed perform. I first saw them live back in 2003 and they were incredible. I’ve been waiting over five years to see them again, and Saturday, it will come true!
The only thing that concerns me (as it did last year) is the threat of rain. MusicFest has a history of being rained on for as long as I can remember (the event is outdoors on the banks of the Mississippi river). We got lucky last year and only caught a few sprinkles. So far, the forecast is calling for rain Friday, but the rest of the weekend looks fine.
