My New Apartment

null

Keith, Sarah and her brother helped me move yesterday from my old place to the new place. The new place is not even a mile from the old apartment; just off campus. This new place is 10x nicer than the other place I had been living at for the past couple of years.

The apartment is a four bedroom place where you rent out your individual bedroom/bathroom but share everything else (kitchen, living room, laundry room, etc.). So, I have three other roommates. Since I will only be here for a year, I didn’t really care to make it “look pretty” so we simply laid out the bedroom so I would have the most space and practicality.

Last night was my first night here and so far, everything is going pretty well (besides the issue I had with the cable company earlier). I still have some stuff to sort through (mostly clothes) then things should be back to normal for me :)

Ahhh, the joys of moving (and travails). From a guy in his late 30’s, I’ll just tell ya - - - you may do it a few more times my friend. Travel light!

Cool pics, esp your work station.

    Great!
BTW is that a CO-OP or just simple rent?

  4. Lulu Said,

The carpet is grey so I already love the place. Show us some more of your common area (kitchen etc) before the roomies get all their stuff up.
glad the move went well…heading over to your cable posting to see what happened.

After having to pay out the ass to wash your laundry, I’m willing to bet that being able to wash all your clothes in your own apartment without needing a pocket full of change should be like heaven or something.

Yeah I am certainly no stranger to moving. If memory serves me correctly, this makes move number 23 or 24 for me… in my 24 years of living! My dad would stay at a job for a year or so, then go somewhere else and he thought it was necessary to move near the new job… only if it was like 5 minutes away!

Yes, its a co-op. You rent out your bedspace, so I have three other roommates. So far its not too bad… and its certainly much nicer than my old place!
