I had planned to get this post up sooner, but have been pretty busy as of late. Anyway, I spent this Thanksgiving in the same manner I have for the past few years. Keith’s family was nice enough to invite me over to their Thanksgiving lunch, since I really don’t have much else place to go.

Keith’s mom put together another great meal, with the mashed potatoes and dressing being my favorite!
After lunch, Keith and I lounged around a bit and watched several episodes of Pinks (marathons rock!) until it was time to head over to our friend Josh’s place for some gaming.

Josh recently purchased Rock Band. If you are unfamiliar with the game, it’s much like Guitar Hero, just with more instruments. Rock Band accommodates up to four players: regular guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer and vocals.

Hey, you can’t let a perfectly good motorcycle helmet go unused in the winter!
I ended up playing drums most of the night, which was really fun but I sucked terribly with the foot pedal; it totally threw off my timing. I tried the singing bit also, but I just wasn’t able to get it right no matter how hard I tried. I finished the night on bass guitar… yeah, I suck.

I stayed at Josh’s place Thanksgiving night but made sure to wake up “early” to watch Ole Miss take on Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. Afterwards, we checked out some of the Arkansas vs. LSU game then eventually resorted back to more gaming!

Josh always has the coolest new toys, so when I heard that he got a Roomba a while back, I was anxious to check it out. I would totally get one of these if I had a larger apartment or a house of my own. The machine is a bit loud when operating… much quieter than a regular vacuum of course, but could still be annoying if you were in the same room while it was doing its job.
Once again, I had another great Thanksgiving, thanks to some really great friends. Next up, Christmas!
