It’s been 48 years since LSU was ranked No. 1 in the nation, but that all changed this year, as the Tigers are currently sitting atop the Top 25 poll with a record of (9-1, 5-1 SEC).
Much like the Florida Game, Ole Miss is a heavy underdog on paper. But, if that game taught us anything, it’s that any SEC team can compete with any other SEC team on any given Saturday. Ole Miss lost that game by 6 points to the then No. 3 ranked Gators.
Ole Miss is coming off a much needed BYE week and looks to pull the upset at home against the Tigers. This is the first time Ole Miss will have played a No. 1 ranked team since 1994 and to make things even sweeter, the game is being nationally televised on CBS.
I, being a huge Ole Miss fan, certainly think it is possible to pull off the upset, considering how well the Rebels tend to play against highly ranked teams. Last year’s game at Tiger Stadium went into OT with LSU winning 23-20, so anything is possible.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow for the game: 2:30 CST (3:30 EST) on CBS to check out Oxford, The Grove and a great game. Hotty Toddy!!
