I was flipping through the channels earlier and stopped on GSN (Game Show Network). It was celebrity tv stars week, and according to SageTV, this episode originally aired July 12, 1976.
These older episodes are always hilarious to watch, for the simple fact that rules didn’t seem to matter back then.
Example… at the end of one episode, where they play for “fast money” (you know, they ask the contestants a series of questions in a certain amount of time, with the second contestant not being able to duplicate the first player’s answers)…
Host: Name something people take to the gym
Contestant: Leotards
Host: No clothes (the previous contestant gave the same answer)
Contestant: Tights
Host: No, no clothes, give me a different answer.
Contestant: Barbells
The host goes to the next question but just busts out laughing…
Contestant: Hurry up, come on Richard!
Host: Oh don’t worry about me hurrying up, you can’t give me an insane answer like barbells then tell me to hurry up!
