
I took this photo last summer here on campus at the University of Mississippi. I used a Nikon D50, 18-55mm lens and a Hoya R72 Infrared filter. Once I snapped the pic (and several others), I used an Infrared action in Photoshop to manipulate the colors to what you see above. Infrared is a lot of fun to play with but is very difficult to master and takes a lot of trial and error. Infrared photos like this turn out best in the middle of summer, so be prepared to bring some bottled water with you as it gets very hot, very quickly!
