Photo-A-Day: Day 61

null

I took this photo last year using my old Nikon D50. The shot was inspired by my photography teacher who did a similar shot (his was much better). I set up the camera on my tripod at the entrance to campus on University Ave. I really like doing these long exposure photos; it gives a very cool effect!

  1. Adam Said,

Would love to do the requirement. I have only one requirement - that you put up a link to either this blog (http://ok-lah.blogspot.com) or the SEO Expert blog (http://www.adamok.net).
    Cheers,

  2. Bob Buskirk Said,

    how long was the exposure?

  3. Shawn Knight Said,

It was nearly a year ago, but if I had to guess, I’d say around 10-12 seconds… enough time to get a few cars driving by…

  4. Tyler Ingram Said,

Won’t the photo’s EXIF info tell you the exposure on it? I really need to do shots like these. I need to do these types of shots one day and see how mine turn out.

  5. Shawn Knight Said,

Ah, good call, didn’t even think about that.

I just checked… not sure if this is right, but here is the data:

    Shutter Speed: 1.0 sec
    F-Stop: f/22
    ISO: 200
    Focal Length: 26mm

I swear I remember the shutter speed being slower…
