My RSS Feed has only been live a few days and already has 21 subscribers! Just a quick reminder if you haven’t already joined, now is as good a time as any. The RSS feed is an easy way to get the latest updates from this blog on the fly without having to visit the page.
For those of you who are not familiar with RSS, it stands for Really Simple Syndication. I’ll be the first to admit I was not 100% familiar with RSS feeds until just a few days ago, so no shame if you aren’t familiar with them either! Wikipedia describes RSS feeds as the following:
“RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts. Users of RSS content use programs called feed ‘readers’ or ‘aggregators‘: the user ’subscribes’ to a feed by supplying to their reader a link to the feed; the reader can then check the user’s subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the user.”
