I have been meaning to post an update about Keith’s mustang. Those of you not familiar with this story can catch up by reading the Go-Fast Upgrades post then hit the Update for that post. Anyway, Keith finally got his car back from the crummy mechanic and asides from a check-engine light (no big deal, right), everything was running smoothly and the car sounds great! The photo you see above is from a few weeks ago when we installed a cold air intake kit. Well turns out the on-board computer is having a fit trying to compensate for the performance mods and thus, isn’t running as well as it should be. Keith dropped off his Mustang earlier this week at a well-known performance shop that specializes in Fords (and more specifically, Mustangs). He will be replacing the stock gears with 3.73 gears, which will give a very nice improvement at lower-end acceleration. He is also having the car dyno-tuned for 89 and 93 octane gas. Hopefully the car will be ready when he comes to visit on Monday.
