Sunday night after the Hinder concert, Sarah and I were trying to meet back up with everyone else when I noticed a cell phone laying on the ground among the thousands of other people trying to leave the show. I picked it up and got to thinking “how will I ever get this back to the owner?”
About that time, the phone rang. I answered and explained that I had found the phone on the ground. The person on the other end was the lady’s boyfriend/husband it seemed and I told him to meet me at a specific location to get the phone back. We meet up with the guy about 10 minutes later and he was very glad to get the phone back; so much so that he gave me $20 despite us telling him not to worry about it. Yey, my good deed for the day…
Fast forward to yesterday; the move. Besides some initial problems in trying to find a storage facility at the last minute, everything went somewhat according to plan… or so I thought. Turns out, some of my stuff didn’t make it from the old place to the new place (less than a mile away).
I woke up today and found a voice message on my phone saying that the physical plant at the school had found something that belonged to me. I promptly called them back to see what it was, as I didn’t recall losing anything. Turns out, it was my check book!
Lesson learned… karma is very real
Do good things and it will come back to benefit you!
